Scholarship

To be eligible for the State of Mauritius Scholarships, students must study at school General Paper Subsidiary, one other Subsidiary subject and three Principal subjects from the ECONOMIC SIDE to be chosen as follows:    
(i) Economics                          (ii) Two of the following subjects:

Mathematics or Further Mathematics, Geography, History, Accounting, Business Studies, Sociology, Law, Computing, TRAVEL AND TOURISM, one of the Languages (Literature in English, French, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Telegu, Marathi, Chinese, German) or a Science Subject and Accounting.

P1 (The core paper): The travel and tourism industry, features of worldwide destinations, customer care and working procedures, travel and tourism products and services

P2 (Marketing and promotion): Principles of marketing and promotion, ways in which marketing and promotion are used within the travel and tourism industry.

A level

P1 (The industry): Features of Travel and tourism, principles of customer service in travel and tourism

P2 (Tourism event): Plan, implement and evaluate a tourism event.

P3 (Destination Marketing) : Defining the tourism market, building a destination brand, implementing a destination brand, monitoring the effectiveness of the destination brand

P4 (Destination management) : Organisations involved in destination management, their roles and priorities, destination management, impacts of tourism development
