Mathematics is the foundation of nearly all science and economic based disciplines, from Physicists and Geographers to Bankers and Engineers.
A student should always consider the importance of Mathematics to prove to future employers that they are comfortable dealing with many different types of figures and calculations.
SKILLS DEVELOPED
Mathematics is seen as a key skill at College Sainte Marie and the department is fully resourced with an incredible teaching team. Our intention is to have students assume responsibility for the mathematics they explore; to understand concepts, to be able to use techniques appropriately and to welcome new challenges.
Our intent is that our students become well-rounded and confident young people who are successful, lifelong learners and able to make a meaningful contribution to society.
